Wink Bingo

Wink Bingo is a site we see advertised constantly on TV. And as soon as we see that river dancing whippet (is it a whippet?) we know that the bingo site is going to be both fun and ever so slightly mad. And it is. Read on to find out what we thought of the site as a whole …….

What games can I play?

There’s a very nice range of bingo games to play with all the usual variations – 90 ball, 75 ball, speed bingo etc with plenty of free, small stake and large stake jackpot games to play for.

There are great slot and instant games to play and some decent casino games too such as roulette and blackjack. Not a huge range of everything but enough to keep anyone entertained with a wide variety of very playable games.

What is there for bingo newbies?

Well first of all you register and can then plays seven days of free bingo before you have to make a deposit. And this isn’t an occasional game! the newbies free bingo room is open from noon till 10pm each night with games running continuously. Yes these games are popular for obvious reasons but the law of averages says that you will at least something if you play for a while. These winnings cant be withdrawn but they can be used to buy tickets in the other rooms where you can win real cash!

When you choose to make a deposit you are awarded a 200% bonus. Not amazing – but when you consider that you also get a spin of the wheel to earn bonus cash it starts to look better. A £10 deposit will result in a minimum of £45 to play with – that’s a 350% bonus! Pretty good!

And on-going promotions?

There’s always some form of promotion going on such as prize give aways and bingo tournaments. There’s also free bingo games to play on an almost continual basis for funded players.

Wink Bingo is also one of the few UK bingo sites which give a 50% reload bonus to all players every time they deposit.

Unusually there is a free bingo room especially for players who have been members for at least 6 months. It’s a refreshing change to see that loyal / long time members are also rewarded as well as just newbies – and without having to climb ‘bonus ladders’.

The Loyalty Points (LPs) are simple to understand and redeem. Basically for every 5p you wager you receive 1 LP. For every 1000 LPs you gain you can redeem them for £1 to play with.

How is the community aspect?

This could be the one aspect that lets Wink Bingo down – if it even bothers you at all. There’s a friendly chat community within the rooms with Chat Moderators to keep everything going smoothly and offer help and additional prizes.

And they seem to be trying hard with a nice ‘Community’ tab to click. But when we did we were faced with just three options:-

Noticeboard – this looked good and points you in the direction of their Facebook page etc. But it also had several highlighted links – which turned out not to be links at all though they must have been at one time.

Blog – to be fair this was a nice blog which is kept up to date and is worth following due to the special offers they display and which you would miss if you didn’t keep reading. A bit strange though that they refer to all players as ‘ladies’. They obviously don’t expect gents to be playing?

Mini Club Members – This seemed intriguing. It turned out that this was advice for an ‘upcoming’ promotion to win a Mini car on New Years Day 2013 (date of this review – June 2014).

All this makes the site appear a little uncared for which is a shame because there is a lot of effort goes into making the games fun and the on-going promotions quite appealing.

Can I play Wink Bingo on my Mobile?

Yes you can – you can play mobile bingo and also on your iPad. You will need to download the correct app for your phone but there are several ways to do this including scanning a QR code and sending a simple text to receive a link.

Do make sure you visit Wink Bingo on your PC as well though because you can’t use the ‘spin the wheel’ bonus feature for newbies on your mobile.

What are the banking options?

Plenty of options – you can deposit and withdraw using Visa Debit, Credit and Electron as well as MasterCard / Maestro. Then there is EntroPay, Neteller, UKash and Paysafe card. And as Wink Bingo is one of the PayPal bingo sites we would always suggest this as a safe option.

And customer support?

There are quite comprehensive – and easy to use – help guides on Wink bingo. And even videos explaining processes such as registration and bonuses / promos.

If you would like to contact them directly you can use email, phone or LiveChat which is advertised at being available 24/7.

Note: Due to a slight technical issue while using the site I input a question into the LiveChat box only to get to the bottom and find that chat was ‘presently unavailable’. However – I called the freephone number which was answered immediately by a very helpful lady who also immediately resolved my problem.

Wink Bingo is GamCare certified and has it’s own ‘responsible gambling’ policy along with facilities to limit deposit levels, self exclude etc.

How do I join Wink Bingo?

Head over to their site and register your details. As with any of the no deposit bingo sites you can take a look around and play without spending a penny of your own money. Because you can re-invest your winnings into other games it means you really can get a good overall view of Wink Bingo before you play with your own money. And with one of the higher welcome bonuses available out there this is certainly worth doing …..
